Win A Disney Interactive Studios Gift Bag

Last night I took my sons to hang out at West Hollywood's hottest lounge, Coco De Ville. Par-tay!

Oh, wait, you're wondering what kind of mother I am, taking my kids to a club on a school night?

Don't worry! It was the Disney Interactive Studios holiday video game showcase. Instead of the usual industry posers and girls in skanky outfits mini-dresses, the club was transformed into a Disney gaming paradise, complete with ginormous flat screen TVs hooked up to video game consoles, a cotton candy machine, mini burgers and fries, and plenty of games that my boys went positively bananas over.

My youngest enjoyed the new Princess and the Frog game while my eldest bravely jumped into karaoke for the first time with Disney Sing It Pop Hits. I couldn't believe Mr. Reserved was up there trying to sing a Jonas Brothers song in front of a crowd of people! He sure was taking the mic seriously!

When he was really warmed up, he actually asked, "Do they have any Green Day on this game?"

Does this mean I have a teenage rock band in my future?

Anyway, hands down their favorite games they tried last night were the new Toy Story Mania and also Spectrobes: Origins, both for Nintendo Wii. I didn't try Spectrobes but I played the Toy Story game with my youngest and loved it. The part of the game where you break dishes was my favorite. Nowhere else can I break dishes and get rewarded for it!

The nice thing is I can break dishes at home now, too, because Disney was nice enough to send us home with a little gift bag. Inside were copies of both Toy Story Mania AND Spectrobes Origins (for the Wii)! My sons were cheering and jumping around like CRAZY! There are also some other goodies in there like a Spectrobes excavation kit (they each did one after school today), a Jonas Brothers mouse pad, a TinkerBell Light-Up Projector and some cute Princess and the Frog measuring spoons.

Would you like to win a Disney Interactive gift bag?

when my lil guy was a toddler ToyStory had just come out. He had Woody and it had a voice box that he played all the time everywhere we went! I still have Woody and his cowboy hat~time has not been kind to him...but he sits in my bureau and I see him everyday "You got a friend in me" reminds me of the precious days that are now lost to my memory and time.

Princess Jasmine - When my now grown daughter was young, Aladdin had just come out. Once she realized the love interest had the same name as her, she was over the moon. She adored the movie and we still have a copy we watch from time to time.

One of my fav Disney memories was the first time the girls watched the Jungle Book. Blue was probably only about 2 at the time and she began to weep when she thought Baloo had had died - "Oh my Baloo, wake up, wake up" she pleaded. When she realized that he was alive she ran over and hugged me so tight and cried tears of joy. Whenever I see Baloo I can't help but smile thinking of my sweet tender-hearted Blue.

I would have to say the bookish Belle and the white rabbit from Alice and Wonderland (I'm late! I'm late!) are my favorite Disney characters.

Sounds like a fun giveaway that can help stretch my limited holiday budget. Thanks!

The boy and I had a healthy debate about this one. We finally settled on a pair - Pumba and Timon - from the Lion King.

I've gotta go with Mulan. My 16 year old loved it when she was little and she says that Mulan was brave for going against her father and fighting for what was right! How's that for preschool female empowerment?

Oooooh. This is a tough one. I'm totally torn between two from Robin Hood, but I'm gonna have to go with Alan-A-Dale (the rooster minstrel). His songs are just so good! But Friar Tuck is a close second, with his generosity and standing up to the sheriff.

And my email is harperj@alumni.reed.edu

I was going to ask my girls which of the Disney Characters is their favorite, but they are asleep at the moment. My oldest probably would have said one of the High School Musical Characters...
My husband, who is still up, says "Jiminy Criquet" and I think my favorite is "Thumper".

My son would love this and I literally just ordered a Wii today when the price went down! My favorite character is Woody from Toy Story and my son's is probably Peter Pan! Thanks for the chance, justicecw@hotmail.com

My son just watched Toy Story yesterday. That's one of my favorites. I think I'm more excited for Toy Story 3 than he is!

My favorite Disney character... That's tough. I think it's a tie between Ariel and Dash from The Incredibles.
