Disneyland Adventure
Last night I went to a party where the dresses the other women had on were shorter than my tunic top. I know I used to love mini-skirts but I never wore them that short. And never... ok, almost never, with stiletto heels.
Fortunately, today I'm going somewhere that's much more my speed: Disneyland! Yes, thanks to Disneyland and MomSelect, my family is going to enjoy a day at the happiest place on earth.
After last night I'm convinced that it's a happy place because it's impossible to roll through their wearing mini-dresses and stilettos. It's a jeans and tennis shoes type of place which means no women will be tugging their dresses down or massaging aching feet. Yes, it'll be right up my alley.
We've only ever been to Disneyland in January (post-holiday crowds are better) so I can't wait to see my boys go crazy over the Halloween Mickey Mouse Jack-o’-Lantern. They have some cool stuff going on there for Halloween. I think I'm looking forward to going to the Haunted Mansion most. Last time we were there it was closed for renovations and the time before that, my boys were too small.
My seven-year old knows we're going. However, my newly minted five year-old does not. We all agreed to keep it a secret from him and make it his final, birthday-week surprise because he loves Disneyland. He asks if he can go at least once a week. Last time we were there he declared that he wanted to live there forever. Who knows, maybe when he grows up he'll run human resources for Disney and get some more diversity going for their park staff hiring.
Anyway, we'll be there till Disneyland closes because the fireworks show at the end of the night is well worth the wait. I'm sure I'll be in a coma all day tomorrow as a result!

We were EXTREMELY grateful to Disney for the tix, though, and many of the Soviet officials were as excited as your newly-minted five-year-old.
