Your Child, The Porn "Star"

When my two sons were babies, I never once looked into their eyes and cooed, "When you grow up, you're going to be the best porn star ever. Yes you are!"

Nope, never did that... and I'm sure actor Laurence Fishburne never did that either. Yet this past weekend, stories emerged that his daughter, 19 year-old Montana "Chippy D" 'Fishburne, would be making her big debut in a porno.

My first thought was that Chippy D must be on drugs or have mental health issues.

OK, no. My first thought was that Larry Fishburne (remember back in the day when he was just "Larry"?) would go ballistic and hurt somebody over this. Then I thought she might be on drugs and have mental health issues. I mean, c'mon now! Only a drug addict or someone who's not treating their mental illness would choose the name "Chippy D" as a porn star name.

I must be getting old because whatever innuendo comes with that Chippy D mess is completely over my head. Does she have a chipped tooth? Is she pretending to be super chipper while she's um, "acting"?

Speaking of acting and breaking into show business, let's look at Chippy D's reasons for going the porn route.
"I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape."
Chile, somebody done lied to you! You see why I suspect drugs or mental health issues are involved? If I'm the daughter of an A-list actor and I want to make a name for myself and break into the biz, surely there are other ways to go about it without doing porn.

She thinks her daddy's going to forgive her and that their relationship will end up being just fine. I'm not sure I'd be able to get over it if one of my kids grew up and told me he'd headed up the 101 Freeway into the Valley and decided porn was the way to go. I'd probably want to watch Faces of Death for three months straight before asking my kid, "So, honey, how's work going?"

I have no idea what kind of relationship Chippy D has with her dad. Who knows how much of a father Fishburne's been to her - but I sure don't think it's his fault if she's idiotic enough to think becoming Kim Kardashian's the way to go. I think I'd rather work at Wal-Mart than be Kim Kardashian, but clearly, Chippy D does not agree.

I can't say I hope it all works out for her but seriously to all the Chippy D's of the world that this town chews up and spits out, good luck with that.

There must be other ways of breaking into show business other than doing porn. How could anyone get involved in that and still keep their self-respect and dignity? Not only that, but it can come back to haunt you in years to come when you're doing something more worthwhile and the media start splashing your porno years.

After seeing her in that rap video yesterday, Im just done.

Im very concerned about all those cigarette burns on her ass. That's the real story if you ask me.

And what in the hell does "Chippy D" mean???

Oh my. If she is going to pursue this path she needs to get the whole Kardashian story. Yes Kim K is 'famous'now but it was not an easy ride and she is still not respected. Before you take an action with this many consequences think it through all the way. Too many young people and especially women are not taught to think things through to the end and to think critically and just believe what they are told or overhear especially if it suits them. I pray she gets off this road - she is capable of so much more.

You know what? I'm not an advocate of abuse or corporal punishment. But in this case, Larry Fishburne and this girl's mother should take turns beating this girl's a--.

The killing part is this girl chose Kim Kardasian, of all people to emulate. If she wanted to get into acting I'm sure her dad could have helped her.

At 19 years old, Montana isn't much older than Keke Palmer, the girl who starred with Fishburn in "Akeela and the Bee". I'm glad Miss Palmer seems to be a well rounded girl and chooses more respectable roles and hasn't chosen to take the skank route to stardom.

Nick,
Exactly. She can't have her head screwed on straight to believe that this is the way to go. It's sad.

Tafari,
Cigarette burns??? Oh wow.

Since she's getting so many interviews nowadays, somebody should ask her what it means. I have some other theories that around chipping teeth on d's but well, who knows.

SMH,
Yep, Kim's all over magazines but no one really respects her - she's gotten like one movie role...who knows if Kim even knew that video would get out in the public. Montana is truly capable of so much more but it sounds like she's got a lot of folks talking in her ear and convincing her otherwise.

Sweet Thang,
Azz whooping crossed my mind too. I'd probably attempt that if one of my boys did something like this. Seriously, thank God for the Keke Palmers of the world.

I don't have kids (yet), but I'd be more upset if my offspring had come up with credit default swaps, worked for Govt, I mean Goldman, Sachs (playing both sides and owning for profit "colleges" like the Art Institute), was an elected official who lied about WMDs, joined the Tea Party, and so on. I think you get my point.
It's sad that Chippy D has chosen this path, but it could be much worse, IMHO.
It seems odd that she was unable to get into Hollywood since it's SO much about who you know.

Ms. J,
I hear what you're saying - those things are equally bad, if not moreso. You're just not having sex on camera when you do them.

This morning I read that she said she's always wanted to do porn. I find that hard to believe - something happened to her to damage her spirit. The more I hear about her, she sounds like a hot mess.

I want my children to be happy in whatever path they choose in life, even if the path they choose for themselves is not the path I would choose. I wish the girl's family the best of luck in their coping process.

I don't think that the porn industry is filled with mentally unstable people. What an amazing place the world will be when we all have the power to accept our loved ones for who they are. If they aren't hurting anyone, why should it matter? Bigotry is ugly in all its forms.
