A Los Angelista Giveaway: Win A 4-Pack of LA County Fair Tix

Ladies and gents, boys and girls - step right up! It's bacon-wrapped Oreo time!

Or, er, if you prefer, it's nursing piglet time...

Yes, indeed, we saw that madness go down last year at our local bastion of fried foods and nursing piglets, the Americana at Brand Los Angeles County Fair. The fair ends this Sunday, October 3rd and I don't want you to miss out on all the fun, so...

I'm giving away a four pack of fair admission tickets AND parking to one lucky Los Angelista reader!

What does the winner get to experience? How about...
  • Esmeralda’s Traveling Circus: There's a Gypsy Camp, sword swallowers and fire-eaters
  • Animals from all over the world, including baby kangaroos, capuchin monkeys, baby mini pigs and reptiles galore!
  • MAJOR fun: LA on Ice, Jurassic Planet, Mojo’s Jungle, Pawport Beach, the famous 72-ride Carnival, pig races, and much more
  • Food: Chocolate-covered, bacon-wrapped Oreos, deep fried PB&J and fresh, homemade ice cream to healthy fare, such as grilled mahi mahi
  • The End of Summer Concert Lineup this weekend features Daryl Hall & John Oates on Friday, Bad Company on Saturday, and 3oh3! with OK Go on Sunday.
Daryl Hall was on my 1980's "I'm gonna marry you" list. But I can't go see him because I have to get up on Saturday morning and run 9 miles. Sigh.

Other coolness? I'm sure my budding child scientists will be DYING to check out the "Our Body: The Universe Within" exhibit. It has more than 30 human organs on display -all to
showcase the educational and fascinating inner-workings of the human body. This is the first time the exhibit will be shown outside of a formal museum setting and I highly recommend you DON'T eat the bacon wrapped Oreo before viewing.

I love the Fair, it always amazes me when I turn a corner and realize I had not seen something yet. Can't wait to share the fun with my niece who just moved here from small town Michigan.

of course I already "like" your face book page, so I shared the link on my profile!
Added my 'like' to your FB page. Haven't been to the fair in way too long. Cheers!
    I tweeted too!

Word verification can be so entertaining. Fisticat! As in "I am so fisticat" - or something like that.

I tweeted, and like the page on Facebook (not quite as much as I like deep fried oreos though). And now I'm leaving a comment =) Thanks <3

I would LOVE, LOVE to go to the fair! We had the most amazing time last year, and would be so excited to take Jack back again. He's older and will probably enjoy it much more! I know Brett and I will share a fried twinkie again! Thanks for doing this Liz!
