I think someone should pay me to sit on the beach, don't you? I mean, really, I could do a good job at it. Sigh, why did I have to come home last night?
Ian, The really lovely thing is that it's not at all crowded in the off-season so for most of the afternoon, other than a random dog walker, we were the only people there!

Los Angelista, The beach up at Ventura was beautiful this last weekend too. Wish I'd have shared it with someone ...
Daniel, I wish you had somebody, too. My kids were my hangout buddies. I took them out of school early and went up around 11 in the morning. We had a ball!
Not Tellin You, It's up the 101 in Montecito. You exit at Olive Mill Rd, turn left and follow the road about 1/2 mile to the coast. It's absolutely gorgeous!
I just came back from a 2 week trip to Monteray on Monday. I have to tell ya California is a beautiful place. Monteray was cold as hell, but I cannot get over how nice it is out there. I spent most of my time near Kings City and the Mountains and Valleys are breathtaking. I can definitly feel what you are talking about.
Mmmm, beachy. I'm printing out the picture so I can gaze at it and daydream. I am counting down the days to vacation! June 19th!
Years ago Dub had a dream that we were in Hawaii as part of my book tour. He and Viva (about 7 years old) were horseback riding on the beach while I was meeting with th press. Yeah, I guess I better get on that since she just turned 6.
