When Your Dog Chews Up All of Your Undies

Let today forever be known as the day that my chiweenie, Andromeda the Destroyer, chewed up most of my lingerie. I went out to run errands and I left a laundry basket of clean undies, bras, and socks in the living room. Andromeda conveniently left the socks alone and chewed holes in everything else.

Really, why couldn't she have eaten the socks? Socks do not cost a gazillion dollars to replace. And I know she knew it was wrong because she was hiding in her crate when I walked in the door.

I still haven't forgiven her, but she's looking at me like, "Mommy, why don't you love me anymore?" Sigh. Does this dog not know how freakin expensive cute underthings are???

At least I know I'm not alone in having this happen. A few years ago my sister's dog ate all of her underwear. She'd shut the dog up in her bedroom so it wouldn't get in the way while we were cleaning the house in preparation for a BBQ. There also happened to be a laundry basket full of clean clothes in the bedroom. The rest is history.

Lesson for the masses: Do not trust your dog around a basket full of lingerie unless you feel like buying more.
