Clothing For Free

I almost never watch the local morning shows here in L.A. There's only so much of Jillian Barberie's jiggling that a non-profit girl like myself can take. But, yesterday I took the day off and flipped on the tv before Olinga and Toussaint, the turkey kids, woke up.

There was a nice story about a free clothing giveaway taking place right in Skid Row, downtown Los Angeles, the place I have previously pondered in this forum. The lady on the news kept gushing about how it was so wonderful that the tradition of this clothing drive had continued for 16 years and kept instructing the camera guy to film all of the thousands of parents and children that had been lined up for two days.

16 years. Is this something to be proud of? Am I missing something?
